Miss Beth started her business 25 years ago. Before that she was dancing with her dance teacher, Linda Regulbuto at Stepin Up Dance Studio in Somers, CT. She was the Associate Director there for six years and loved her job. Beth lived in Somers most of her life and decided she wanted to stay in the Connecticut area when she opened up her own studio. Her Dad told here that Tolland was the up and coming place to be and she should look there. Well, I guess he was right. Tolland has been awesome to Dance Express and Beth! Miss Beth went on to study in New York at the Broadway Dance Center, Steps on Broadway and Ballet East. She also took teacher’s class up in Springfield, Ma. with Steven Boyd at Frank Hatchet’s Dance School. She took private ballet lessons with Richard Stienert, a principle ballet dancer with the Baltimore and Houston Ballet Companies and now is the Director of Ballet Theater Arts in Hartford.She still furthers her education by taking classes and having teachers from New York City come to Dance Express to hold master classes for kids during the year. Miss Beth has been the director the the Tolland Youth Services Community Theater for the past 4 years and will direct “Beauty and the Beast” this summer. Miss Beth taught for the National Association of Dance and Affiliated Artists (NADAA) for 4 years now and will be teaching at the National Convention this summer. She also taught at Rhode Island College during final exams and at other locations in the tri-state area. Miss Beth directed and choreographed many plays for Ellington Cultural and the YMCA in Vernon. She has worked for the Mansfield Creative Arts Council, Ellington Cultural Arts and the town of Ashford teaching dance. She has given her time to help different schools and programs throughout the years with the further of dance education. Miss Beth has dedicated her life to dance and her dancers and she’s loved every second of it.

Miss Marion is the Assistant Director of Dance Express. She began dancing in Junior High at Beverly and Lee Burton’s Dance Studio in Manchester, CT. She has studied dance at Albano Ballet School, The Houston Conservatory of Dance in Texas, The Hartford Conservatory, and Eastern Connecticut State University. Miss Marion continues her dance education by taking master classes in New York City. She has choreographed summer plays for the YMCA in Vernon. Her plays include Peter Pan, Oliver and Annie. She has also choreographed for the Tolland Youth Services Community Theaters Production of Anything Goes and Copacabana. Miss Marion has also won numerous high point awards for her competition choreography Miss Marion as her associates degree from Manchester Community College, and a Bachelor’s of Fine Arts degree in Dance from ECSU in Willimantic, CT. Miss Marion has been with Dance Express for 22 years. She continues to look to the future to share her love of dance with her students.

Christine Perry graduated Magna Cum Laude from the Hartt School at the University of Hartford with a BFA in Dance Performance in the Spring of 2009. During this time she also had the privilege to train at the Martha Graham School of Contemporary Dance on scholarship. She currently dances with dancEnlight as a dancer and company teacher and Judy Dworin Performance Projects. Christine Perry has taught in various schools around Connecticut including Limelite Dance Center, Eastern Connecticut Ballet, Premier Dance School and Yale. She is currently on faculty at the Greater Hartford Academy of the Arts. Along with dance she is a professional stage and production manager and has done extensive technical theater work in locations including the Baryshinikov Arts Center in New York City, St. Joseph College, the Garde Arts Center, Charter Oak Cultural Center, Foxwoods and the Wadsworth Atheneum.div>

Miss Kim has been dancing since the age of 4. My love for dance started with Anita Deprey of East Hartford. I have been with Dance Express since my sophomore year in college. I went to UCONN and graduated with a degree in Accounting. I currently work at the Jewish Community Center in West Hartford. Miss Kim lives in South Windsor with her husband and 2 children (Devon 7) and (Nolan 2). They both love to visit Dance Express. Thank you for allowing me to share in your children’s lives. I am blessed to be able to share my love of dance with them.

Miss Jenna began dancing at Dance Express at the age of 4. She was a Dance Express company member for 9 years. Jenna continued her dance training and attended Rhode Island College, where she had the opportunity to work with many talented artists. In 2008, Jenna graduated from RIC with a bachelor’s degree in Dance Performance. Jenna also danced with a Hartford based professional contemporary dance company “Dance Connect”, where she has performed in numerous shows around Connecticut. Jenna’s choreography has been performed in CT, RI and MA where it has won many different high point awards, which also included a young choreographer award. Jenna She loves sharing her passion and creativity of Dance with each of
her students and is thrilled to be celebrating her 23rd year at Dance Express!!

Chris has been dancing since the age of 5 and is very happy to be at Dance Express! She has choreographed for a number of shows and productions both in high school and college. Chris stopped dancing after college and after having her son in 1997, she came back to dance, starting as an adult student at Dance Express then eventually becoming part of the staff. She is happy to be back with her dance family.

Miss Julie is 19 years old and a full time student at Eastern Connecticut State University. She has danced on the ECSU Competitive Dance Team and is a Dance Express and 1st Company alumni. This is her first year teaching at Dance Express. She is excited to teach your children and to share her passion for dance. Julie hopes to expand her teaching in the future and looks forward to working with your children.

Miss Tressa started dancing at the age of 9 and found dance to be a way for her to express many emotions. During her years of dance education she competed on various dance teams at her home studio and on her high school’s dance team. In college, Miss Tressa danced for the Bay Path College Dance Team as well as participated in the Bay Path College Theater productions. After graduating with a Bacholors degree in Psychology and Early Childhood Education, Tressa continued dancing with the Manchester Musical Players. After the birth of her two children, she became a certified Zumba® instructor and an AFAA certified group fitness instructor. She is thrilled to be part of the Dance Express teaching team, and have the opportunity to combine her experience, her skill of teaching young children and passion for dance.

Miss Lindsay is a Connecticut Native and is a performer, teacher and lover of dance. She found her passion for dance at a young age as a member of Dance Express’ Jazz Company. Attending Suffolk University in Boston, Lindsay furthered her dance experience performing with Suffolk Dance Company and studying at the Jeannette Neill Dance Studio. In 2010, Lindsay relocated to New York City to study modern technique in Jose Limon Institute’s Professional Studies Program. While there, she performed Limon repertory and studied under current and former Limon company members and artistic director, Carla Maxwell. As a member of Dance Connect, a Hartford based contemporary dance company, Lindsay has performed around New England and New York City. She has also performed with The Next Stage Project in New York City and Work/Laura Glenn in Hartford. Currently, Lindsay splits her time between Hartford, where she teaches dance and Pilates, and performs with Dance Connect; and New York City, where she studies extensively with Tracie Stanfield, director of Synthesis Dance Project, and other dance masters such as Marijke Eliasberg, Kristin Sudekis and Dorit Koppel. Lindsay’s choreography has been performed in New York, Boston and Hartford and has won numerous awards, including a young choreographer’s awards.
