PAYMENTS

The payment schedule is as follows:

Payment Policies

• 5% DISCOUNT – FULL YEAR – DUE BY SEPT 16th – NO FULL YEAR PAYMENTS AFTER THE 17th.
• MONTHLY PAYMENTS ARE DUE ON THE 1st OF EACH MONTH.
• A LATE FEE OF $5.00 WILL BE ADDED TO YOUR ACCOUNT, IF PAYMENT IS NOT RECEIVED BY THE 15th OF THE MONTH.
• A ONE-TIME $12.00 REGISTRATION FEE IS CHARGED PER CHILD, NOT PER CLASS, AND IS DUE UPON REGISTRATION OF YOUR CHILD(REN). IF NOT ALREADY PAID, THIS CAN BE INCLUDED IN YOUR FIRST MONTH’S PAYMENT.
• WE DO NOT SEND OUT STATEMENTS IN ADVANCE
• STATEMENTS ARE MAILED ONLY TO DELINQUENT ACCOUNTS
• PAYMENTS CAN BE PLACED IN TUITION BOXES LOCATED IN THE WAITING ROOMS. PAYMENTS CAN BE MAILED TO DANCE EXPRESS. 68 HARTFORD TPKE, TOLLAND, CT 06084

MAKE-UP CLASSES

• Make-up classes are always made available to the student.
• Unless there are extenuating circumstances, no credit will be given for missed classes. This includes classes that are cancelled due to inclement weather.
• Make-up classes are posted at the studio and on our website. (See page 1 for numbers).
• There is no need to let a teacher know that you’re coming to a class in advance. Just let her know when you arrive for that class.

COSTUMES 

• Students will be measured during the month of October. 2-3 inches will be added for growth.
• Costumes are not considered clothing by CT and are taxable – All costumes include tax.
• $58.00 for small and medium child costumes
• $63.00 for large, x-large child & small adult
• $65.00 for medium & large adult
• $78.00 for x-large adult costumes
• Full costume payments are due by Nov. 20th, or a $15 late fee will be charged. They are ordered by Dec. 20th.
• No refunds once a costume order has been placed.
• If a class is dropped, written notification is required by December 1st OR YOU WILL BE CHARGED FOR THE COSTUME,

ATTIRE

• All BALLERINAS are required to wear a solid, dark leotard, pink tights and pink ballet slippers.
• All ballerinas are to wear their hair in a high ponytail or bun.
• All JAZZ dancers are to wear form fitting dance clothes, black jazz shoes or slip-ons. PLEASE NO BAGGY T-SHIRTS OR DANCE SNEAKERS.
• All TAP dancers are to wear black tap shoes and dance clothes, but NO pants.
• For the TINY TAP dancer, please use elastics instead of ribbons and black tap shoes.
• All LYRICAL dancers can wear leotards, tights, dance shorts, tan slip on jazz shoes or foot undies, but no pants.
• All HIP HOP dancers can wear loose fitting clothes, dance sneakers, and regular sneakers provided they are not their street shoes. Street shoes can damage the dance floors.
• All PROGRESSIVE MOVEMENT dancers are to wear pink or white ballet slippers, any colored leotard, and tights or dance clothes.
• ALL DANCERS ARE REQUIRED TO WEAR THEIR HAIR PULLED AWAY FROM THEIR FACE

5, 10 & 15 YEAR TROPHIES

• To receive a trophy you must dance consecutively for 5, 10 or 15 years at Dance Express or another studio.
• To have your name in the program and called up on the stage at recital.
• A sign-up sheet will be posted for trophy & seniors by the end of September. Please sign up ASAP
• Only 1 trophy order will be placed in early April.
• If you miss the deadline, we will order a trophy but you will be responsible for the nameplate and having it engraved.

SAFETY

• No running or playing on the deck or in the parking lot. This applies to dancers as well as siblings.
• Siblings must be supervised at all times and are not allowed to be in an unoccupied studio.
• Please be courteous and clean up any toys, food, or beverages brought into the studio.
